I love this veggie display! It's supposedly from Martha Stewart's blog, but I can't find the original post.

Winter Garden
I love having dirt under my nails!
We're off to a good start on our winter garden. So far we've planted celery, walla walla onions, elephant garlic, sweet peas, red cabbage, green cabbage, bok choy, parsley, and cauliflower. I also included pansies, nierembergia, and erysimum flowers. Here's a picture of the first bed:
The flimsy little rope "fence" is to discourage the dog from jumping in the box. So far it's working!
The second bed will have 4 kinds of lettuce, LOTS of spinach, green chard, rainbow chard, broccoli, and more flowers. That should be finished by today or tomorrow.
